Sheep How to Draw
Step 1: Let’s draw the basic shapes and lines, applying a gentle pressure on the pencil. We’ll start with a large circle for the body, then add an oval for the head, a bit inclined to the left, and draw two small ovals for the ears.
Step 2: Draw an oval over the head for the fur. It should be inclined the same way the head is. Add two more ovals for the hind legs. The ovals slant away from each other.
Step 3: Trace the forelegs; draw two circles on the body, then two lines and two ovals at the bottom.
Step 4: Now we start drawing the contours, pressing on the pencil normally. Draw the eyes first. They remind two eggs, inclined toward each other. Outline the contour between the eyes only on the top.
Step 5: Outline the ears with two hooked lines.
Step 6: Outline the hind legs, following the basic ovals. On the top the contour curves inward and goes down, marking the hoofs. Draw another oval in the left bottom part of the left hoof. Draw an oval inside the right hoof the same way.
Step 7: Now let’s outline the head and draw some fur on it. The fur is bushy and resembles a small cloud. It’s contour consists of half-circles of different sizes and slants. Some are in the foreground and some hide behind others.
Step 8: Draw the forelegs. Start with two thin sticks and then outline the ovals, dividing them into two halves at the bottom. Mark two folds of skin on the top of the hoofs.
Step 9: Draw the contours of the body. It also looks like a fluffy cloud. Mark the fur on the chest with some wavy lines.
Step 10: Detail the face with two tiny nostrils and mark the smile. Draw the fur at the top of the legs. Erase all the basic shapes and lines before coloring.
Step 11: Now it’s time to color our sheep. We chose peach color for its legs and face. The fur is pale-gray. The light shines from above, so we need to add some shading on all the bottom parts. Trace over the contours again if they got blurred after coloring. The sheep is complete!
