A honda knot is the loop knot commonly used in a lasso. Its round shape, especially when tied in stiff rope, helps it slide freely along the rope it is tied around. A Lariat Loop is similarly constructed but will not slip from the running end. This is the knot all cowboys use to form their lasso or lariat.
The Noose Knot is a simple loop, which can be done quickly. It was widely used in hunting to catch little animals and birds. The noose knot is also used in knitting, packaging and for forming other knots. The knot doesn’t jam and can be easily untied. The size of the loop is adjustable. Pull the running end sideways to make the loop larger or pull the standing end to tighten the noose.
